Why is there no American flag on your sleeves?

As a brand, Originalist Apparel celebrates the symbols, spirit and vision of America's founding. That's why our sleeves feature our star mark—a direct, digital trace of one of the stars on George Washington's personal flag. If our founding fathers had created Originalist Apparel in 1776, we like to think they'd have done something similar! By contrast, the American flag as we know and love it today, didn't appear until 1958—quite a bit later than most people realize!

How long will it take to receive my order?

Many of our products are made to order, so fulfillment times will vary depending on what you've purchased. Items we have on-hand will usually ship the next business day, while other orders can take up to 7-10 business days to fulfill. If there is a large enough influx of orders, however, these lead times may increase. We are a small operation, but do our best to only ship out products whose quality we would be willing to pay for ourselves. This extra lead time helps us accomplish this. Rest assured, as we continue to grow, we will be looking for ways to expedite our processes.

What is your return policy?

Originalist Apparel will accept the return of unworn, unwashed and/or defective merchandise for a full refund or exchange* within 30 days of receipt. Eligible refunds will be credited to the original form of payment for the item’s purchase price.

To begin a return or exchange, please contact us at Sales@originalistapparel.com.

*Please note that we are only able to exchange items for a different color/size of the same item.

Where are your products made?

Originalist Apparel is proud to be 100% American owned and operated. We are based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, employ a talented team of patriotic artists and work closely with local small businesses to print, embroider and engrave our designs.

As for the actual, physical products themselves, some are made in America and some are not. This is especially true of our soft goods (shirts, hoodies, hats, etc.), where the country of manufacture can vary from batch to batch. We therefore prioritize only what we can reliably control—ensuring that our creative and production processes are done right here in the USA.

At the same time, however, we are always looking for ways to bring all aspects of our business back home. So, if you're an American manufacturer of any of the goods we sell on this site, please get in contact with us! We'd love to see if we can work together.

How do I care for my shirts?

As a general rule, we will always recommend the following:

· Machine wash cold
· Do not bleach
· Tumble dry low

Pro tip: We actually prefer hang drying our shirts. Sure, it takes a little longer, but we've found that it significantly improves the shirt's longevity. Just take it from the wash, put it on a clothes hanger, and hang it from a shower curtain rod or door frame. You're set!
